Tommy Ashby .jpeg

Tommy Ashby’s background is a rather unusual one for a singer-songwriter. Awarded a PhD in the perception of sound, Tommy blends a technical understanding of the way our brain processes sound with the indisputable pure creative energy of someone who grew up writing and playing music in the wilds of Scotland. Tommy has just put the finishing touches to the new Golden Arrow EP (April 26th 2019), again working with double Grammy Award winning producer/mixer Sam Okell, especially known for his work on the ground-breaking immersive surround mix of Beatles classic record Sergeant Pepper.

Tommy’s last EP, Restless Love, garnered support from Fearne Cotton, Radio 2, Spotify editorial, Record of the Day and major global syncs for Grey’s Anatomy, Netflix’s The Innocents and NBC’s Midnight Texas to name a few. His previous single Guilty is currently running on a trailer for prime-time UK drama series Silent Witness.

RINNGS are London based duo of multi-instrumentalists who decided to make a band where neither of them plays any instruments and everything is made out of vocals and drums (which don’t count).

They don’t remember where they read that it was wise to set boundaries like this, but it turns out to have been a good idea because it’s resulted in a unique formula of lush layered choirs, manipulated vocals and intricate rhythms over which to write genre-defying pop songs about life.

RINNGS have released 5 singles in the last 18 months garnering support from Radio 1, Spotify (New Music Friday, WW, UK, Sweden), Apple music (New Fire, Best of Week, Breaking Electronic), BBC Introducing, and enthusiastic reviews from blogs such as the Line of Best Fit/The 405/The Independent etc. The last release was a collaboration with Pavel Khvaleev who discovered RINNGS’ sound online. The resulting track VIDEOS (Black Hole Records) reached number 1 in the Belgian Electronic Chart.

Sean performed and co-wrote on their albums; Never Trust A Happy Song and Spreading Rumours, which included hits such as, Colours, Ways To Go and the US #1 Tongue Tied. Departing Grouplove, Sean has embarked on a career as a solo artist.

Sean has recently been causing a stir with his new track ‘Radar Sounds’ from the soon to be released debut album, Massive Alien. The album was recorded in his beloved Echo Park, LA with his studio partner in crime Scott Barber and features performances from his former band members.

Radar Sounds is a sincere, alt rock song that beautifully fuses an electric soundscape and folk vocals in perfect harmony. It instantly hooks you in, propelled by the power of the personal lyrics and dramatic guitar interludes.
